The story behind Cliparly

No agency, no funding, no head start — just a phone, a laptop, and a lot of hours.

The Person Behind Cliparly

Built on a cheap phone.
Backed by real results.

Cliparly didn't start in a boardroom. It started with a 16-year-old, a phone that wasn't built for editing, and a stubborn need to figure things out.

No mentor handed over a roadmap. No expensive gear made the work easier. Every skill on this page was earned the hard way — through hours of trial, error, and a refusal to settle for "good enough."

01
The Origin

A phone, CapCut, and pure curiosity

It started at 16. No big team, no studio — just a personal channel, a cheap phone, and CapCut. What began as a way to keep busy turned into something real: that channel grew to 112,000 subscribers, built entirely with whatever was on hand.

The drive behind it wasn't ambition for ambition's sake — it was curiosity. A need to understand how things worked, taken far enough that it stopped being a hobby and started becoming a skill.

02
The Learning Process

Saving up for the tools to go further

At 17, the phone could only take things so far. So the next year went into saving — working, hustling, setting aside whatever could be spared — until there was finally enough for a first laptop.

That laptop opened the door to real editing software, and with it, a much deeper dive: studying tools properly, learning the craft behind the craft, and turning raw curiosity into a usable, sellable skill — one that clients were willing to pay for.

03
The Evolution

From editing for fun to delivering results

The skills kept stacking up, and editing turned from a hobby into actual paid work. Clients started coming in, and along the way, the question changed. It stopped being "does this look good" and became "did this actually grow your business."

That mindset is what eventually opened the door to working with international clients — brands and companies outside the Philippines trusting a self-taught editor with their content. Today, Cliparly is built on that same standard: every project still has to earn its place by bringing real results, not just good visuals. And the goal hasn't changed either — to grow this into the biggest content agency in the Philippines.
